TEKORE

Mixing African and French influences, the collections are feminine and chic, and created in limited numbers to promote sustainability.

Tekoré by Estelle Jannot - Embassy Collection

Estelle Jannot, has launched her latest collection titled Embassy.

The collection is composed of a selection of elegant feminine numbers suited for a casual and more dressy settings. The pieces incorporate  an array of African textiles such as the Shwe Shwe fabric which is native to mainly used in South Africa when creating garments worn in special occasions, and traditional hand woven fabrics from Ivory Coast, Benin, Burkina Faso to name a few.

An ode to African heritage in a feminine yet strong aesthetic.

The color palette is based on Blues, Black and White in different shades and varying prints as it’s known for the Shwe Shwe fabric to have.

I had a filed day going through the look book and imagining where and how i’d style the pieces.

"Il y a certainement d'autres textiles (que le wax) qui se prêtent encore mieux à la promotion de l'étiquette africaine, et dont la production et les techniques appartiennent pleinement au répertoire du continent" - Anne-Marie Bouttiaux
